Accountant at OUTsurance

Job Description

We are looking for an accountant who wishes to build a career within the Finance department specialising in short- and long-term insurance.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge and interest in the field of accounting. The responsibilities of this role will include the following:

• Preparing and capturing month end journals

• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations

• Preparation of annual financial statements

• Preparing VAT returns

• Preparing monthly statutory journals

• Preparing monthly statutory balance sheet and income statement

• Adhoc general ledger reconciliations

• Adhoc review and posting of journals

The candidate will report into the Financial Manager

Qualifications

• Newly qualified CA(SA) or CA(SA) with one-year post articles experience

Experience

• Experience in the financial services/insurance industry will be beneficial
