Job Summary

• We are looking for an Accounting Expert/Accountant to work within our FSM Group Financial Control & Finance Operations department. This position requires you to provide accurate information for financial reporting and have good understanding of processes within own area of responsibility. Our preferred candidate works independently within established procedures and practices.
• The ideal candidate will be a strong liaison between Accounting and Shared Services and will have strong leadership skills with attention to detail. This is a temporary role based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

What you will do

• Strong collaboration with our share service provider among hub and outsourcing company
• Cooperation with PTP (Purchase to Pay) daily basis.
• Cooperation with RTR (Record to Report) on monthly, quarterly and yearly closing steps
• Re-billing of services
• Maintaining, reconciling, and assisting balance sheet and profit & loss accounts.
• Assisting with annual audit preparations
• Preparing local tax returns
• Implementing and maintaining best practices and control framework requirements of the relevant process 
• Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
• Working on process improvement related KPIs
• Performing other accounting duties and supporting as required or assigned

We believe you have

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required
• 3-5 years of financial accounting experience
