Agile Project Manager – Retail/E-commerce at Salt South Africa

Job Overview:

• We are seeking an experienced Project Manager for a 12-month contract to work with a leading retailer in South Africa. Reporting to the Chief Data & Analytics Officer, this role requires a candidate with a strong background in Agile Project Management and experience in e-commerce or digital projects.
• This is a unique opportunity to drive high-impact digital and data transformation initiatives in a fast-paced retail environment. The successful candidate must be based in Cape Town and will need to work in the office from Monday to Thursday.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead the end-to-end delivery of projects using Agile methodologies.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met.
• Oversee e-commerce or digital-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
• Identify project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
• Engage with stakeholders across the business to ensure seamless communication and alignment with project deliverables.
• Ensure that project timelines, scope, and budget are managed effectively.
• Drive project reporting and status updates for the Chief Data & Analytics Officer and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in Agile Project Management.
• Previous experience managing e-commerce or digital projects (preferable).
• Strong ability to manage multiple workstreams and project complexities.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Must be based in Cape Town and available to work onsite from Monday to Thursday.
