Air Freight Operations Export Controller - Johannesburg at Aramex South Africa

Job Responsibilities

• Handling and alerting in cargo wise for the master execution.
• Communing with pricing team and Airlines for booking.
• Following up with airlinefor the perishable/ DG requirements and temp upgrades while booking.
• Ensure improvement in on time delivery performance of the trade lanes serviced by Aramex.
• Ensure ERP milstone status update integrity is 100% (Cargo wise).
•  Apply for the booking details directly on airlines webside.
• Alerting customer of shipment booking.
• Monitoring the flow of status with airlines till cargo arrived in destination.
•  Handling all the IATA standard principles for the cargo booking through carrier.
• Preparing the LC AWB and docs for the bank transfer purpose.
• Follow the AWB standing instruction of docs accompany such as EAP.
• Generating the AWB and MAWB based on customer requirements in destination clearance.
• Following up with airline for the Adhoc spot rate and comparing with the contract rates.
• Ensure brokerage functions are completed.
• Preparing IDG/indemnity letter.
• Applying GCCA permit for the DG cargo.
• Handling all kind of DG classes cargo with Airline.

Job Description

• Following the incoterms carefully while executing.
• Handling charter flight booking/ part charter.
• Preparing document packs for customer.
• Raising the claims for the damages or missing with airlines.
• Coordinate with mutiple stakeholders internally.
• End to end follow up on shipment life cycle.
• Develop relation with the customer.
• Provide Freight solutions to the customer.

Minimum Requirements (Experience and education)

• Bachelor's degree in business or any other field (Benedicial)
• 5+ years of relevant working experience in the Freight Forwarding industry.
• Experience in operations and broad knowledge of regulations.
• Ability to navigate and use MS Office at a high standard.
• Command of English language, both verbal and written.
• Cargo wise.
