Airfreight Systems & Processes Manager at Kuehne + Nagel

• Working with Regional Process,Systems & Tariffing Managers, towards the standardisation and optimisation of processes.
• Analysis of current and prospective operational processes, and, using corporate standard tools, modelling them in ways which promote awareness and understanding.
• Actively seek and analyse areas within the operational process where task outsourcing to SSC (Shared Service Centre) will deliver process improvement/optimization; and ensure shift in co-operation with Regional Systems Manager,. Promote and raise awareness of SSC to management.
• Working with the regional process and systems managers to ensure that the operational software is set up and configured for optimal use in the country cluster. This includes maintaining local set ups (eg Documents, Exchange rates, VAT rules) and local master data.
• Working with the regional systems manager to ensure national variations in working practices, and corporate standards. In co-ordination with the regional systems manager and the IT Application Services, implementation and approval and testing of software releases within the country cluster, according to the standards and timescales determined at regional level.
• Working with the regional tariff manager to ensure that each operator receives the level of regional standard training appropriate to his or her job, ensure that training content keeps pace with system upgrades and process change initiatives.
• Representing the country cluster, in conjunction with the Regional Airfreight Systems team, in the continuous development of the corporate airfreight operational software and corporate airfreight process.
• Acting as information conduit between the country cluster and the Regional Airfreight Systems team, for all other matters concerning system functionality, process improvement and standardization.
   

Your Skills And Experiences

• Must have a background in airfreight procedures, with experience within the KN organisation.
• Must have an advanced knowledge of the KN airfreight forwarding applications.
• Believe that process improvement has a direct impact upon productivity and quality.
• Must have experience in IT-related environment.
• Able to manage projects and to co-ordinate remotely the activities of other people.
• Have a strong sense of self-discipline and persistence.
• Patient and pragmatic.
• Have keen attention to detail.
