Analyst Developer at Clicks Group

The analyst developer will be required to perform systems analysis, write technical specifications, assist in systems design, develop new functionality as per business requirements and provide support for applications. This role will be based at our Head Office in Woodstock.
Purpose and Objectives

•  Required to partake in the development of application code, by liaising with other developers via designing, and planning to satisfy the requirements of business users
•  Coach Developers to ensure that code standards and the development process are adhered.
•  Plan and implement solutions for effective development of a program in order to meet specifications and deadlines
•  Required to stay abreast of industry standards
•  Plan and execute Unit Testing, Systems Integration Testing, and archiving of test results.
•  Partake in the development of System/Functional Documentation, operations manuals, systems processes, and technical designs. Is accountable for getting these documents done.
•  Work with Systems Analyst in the writing of technical specifications according to functional requirements
•  Contribute to the translation of functional requirements into design specifications, according to the development standards in area of responsibility
•  Perform peer reviews
•  Responsible for developing quality code according to technical specification
•  Analyse, resolve difficult/complex system issues, by working with the end-users and other IT support staff.

Requirements

Experience and Knowledge Required

•     Relevant technical or business qualification - degree / diploma
•     Minimum 5 years IT experience
•     Have knowledge of ERP deployment strategies
•     Preferably have been a member of large ERP deployment projects
•     Understand enterprise batch scheduling utilities and designs – strive for lights out operation
•     Can function in complex multi-vendor stacks – can follow a technical process from various front end tools to various back end databases and the processes linked them as complete set
•     Understand Oracle and PL/SQL technologies
•     Understand MS SQL environment
•     Understand shell scripts and windows batch scripts
•     Be effective in and environment with designs being delivered piece meal
•     Have experience on JDA technologies
