About the Role

• We have an exciting opportunity for Junior Architects to join our thriving Architecture teams in the Mission Critical Facilities and Industry Advisory Groups in our Johannesburg / Cape Town / Umhlanga offices of Royal HaskoningDHV.

Job Requirements

Desired Qualifications and Professional Registration

• Bachelor of Architecture Degree (Master of Architecture Degree preferred);
• Registered / eligible to register as a Candidate Professional Architect with SACAP (not Technologist / Draughting person, etc);
• Minimum of 0 – 3+ years relevant experience, preferably within the consulting engineering built environment;
• High level of computer literacy (MS Office including advanced Excel skills);
• BIM and Revit proficiency (advanced level);
• Navisworks, Enscape and Revizto plus Photo-shop capability is an advantage
• Knowledge of Dynamo, Python, and other ways to automate your work are highly beneficial;
• Experience / knowledge of Revizto, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Common Data Environments and other relevant platforms are highly beneficial;
• Autodesk AutoCAD (for legacy projects mainly since primary software is Revit)

Duties and Responsibilities
We will entrust and rely on you to:

• Prepare/assist with Inception reports, concept schematic drawings and architectural packages to support Senior Design Architect;
• Efficiently engineer and model design using technical and 3D/BIM modeling skills;
• Prepare/assist with reports, technical drawings and architectural specifications and tender documentation;
• Measuring and compiling of as built information;
• Perform/assist in site inspections and attending meetings;
• Perform research and investigations;
• Provide technical and administrative support with preparation of bid submissions;
• Assist with components of architectural tasks inherent to the building’s projects on Revit;
• Ensure that all quality system procedures are followed in the production and issuing of designs, costing, drawings and standard details;
• Regular contact and communication with the Senior Design Architect;
• Perform any other work tasks duly assigned by the Senior Design Architect.
