MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

• To ensure that all equipment, plant, building, and services always remain functional to their original state in the safest and most cost-effective way

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

• Perform Technical jobs within the locality
• Perform administration duties within the technical function
• Identify and mitigate technical risks within the locality
• Coordinate work performed by on-site contractors within the locality
• Maintain client and stakeholder relations within the technical function

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION:

• Appropriate trade test-certified

ESSENTIAL CERTIFICATION:

• Trade test certificate & valid driver's licence

DESIRED CERTIFICATION:

• Registered SAQCC-Gas (only applicable to South African air-conditioning artisans)

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL MININUM EXPERIENCE:

• More than 5 years’ of artisan (Fitter, turner, millwright, air-conditioning artisan) experience

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

• N/A

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Trade-specific skills and knowledge – proficiency relative to the role
• Trade-specific policies, procedures, guidelines, and relevant legislature
• Fault finding and troubleshooting
• Planned maintenance according to set Mediclinic standards
• Occupational Safety, Health, and Environment (e.g. OHS and ISO)
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
• Mentoring of technical team members
