    Assistant Desktop Engineer - Western Cape

    Description

    • The IT Assistant Desktop Engineer installs and evaluates software and systems for the organisation. He supports the regional IT Desktop Engineer with miniating hardware and software, and research technical solutions as specified by the regional IT Desktop Engineer.
    • This incumbent also provides backup support and maintenance for regional users as and when required. 

    Requirements

    Key Performance Areas

    • Provides backup systems, desktop and network support
    • Manage and maintain the GVK-Siya Zama IT Systems for the region
    • Customer Service
    • Teamwork
    • Academic Qualification
    • CompTIA A+ / Network + / Cloud +

    Years of Experience

    • 2-3 Years in IT Desktop Support 
    • 2-3 Years in working with LTE routers / switches / Home Wi-fi Setups / AP's etc., network cabling
    • Basic familiarity with operating systems in a networked environment
    • Basic familiarity with Yealink Phones advantageous
    • Familiarity with Office 365, One Drive etc. advantageous
