Responsibilities and Duties 

• Responsibility and accountability of all aspects of the store
• Key operational performance assessment
• Timeous reports to Regional Manager
• General administration
• Stock management and control stock takes
• POS process management
• HR/IR management
• Process improvement
• Operational planning
• Budgets and monthly forecasts
• Growing market share and creating new opportunities
• Customer service and supplier relationships
• Merchandising principles and marketing of products
• Attend farmers days and sponsored events
• Adhere to operational policies and procedures
• Ensure that sales and expenses are in line with budget
• Ensure that stock indicators are in line with company benchmarks
• Store profit
• Influence and practice company values and strategy

Qualifications and Skills 

• Matric / Grade 12
• Relevant Degree/Diploma (advantageous)
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in the Agricultural sector in a Retail Management role
• Extensive knowledge of Management Principles
• Valid driver's license
• Computer literate
• Planning and attention to detail
• Time & Staff management with strong leadership skills
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Assertive and analytical thinker
• Ability to train and develop employees
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a pressurised environment
