Job Description

• A leading and forward-thinking fintech company is seeking a dynamic Business Analyst to join their team in Johannesburg, GP. The company operates across insurance, telecommunications, and digital payments, driving accessibility and inclusion through technology. You’ll play a central role in crafting intelligent, user-centered systems and process enhancements, empowering communities across Africa.

Responsibilities: 

• Analyse and document current business systems and operational processes.
• Facilitate discovery workshops and gather requirements from stakeholders.
• Design process flows, user journeys, BPMN diagrams, and UML models.
• Write functional specs, user stories, and clear documentation.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and UAT teams to validate features.
• Support CI/CD pipeline implementation and DevOps practices.
• Identify inefficiencies and propose scalable, creative solutions.
• Provide training and ongoing support to end users and internal teams.

Requirements: 

• A tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or similar.
• 4+ years of experience in a Business Analyst or similar role.
• Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and cross-functional product teams.
• Proficiency in business analysis tools, BPMN/UML, user journey design, and functional test planning.
• Knowledge of ERP systems and fintech platforms (advantageous).
• Understanding of APIs, system integration, and software architecture.
• Familiarity with authentication and authorization principles.
