Responsibilities And Duties.
Reporting

• Oversee the compilation of monthly management accounts in Magnitude tool.
• Compile monthly Business Operations Review pack for Southern Africa operations for review with the Head of Finance.
• Provide analytic insight and hindsight commentary on actual versus budget / forecast for country including Group Business Unit’s Profit / Loss, Operational Cash Flows and other key figures.
• Monitoring and reporting non-integrated risk and opportunities for Order Intake, Revenue related EBIT impact and OCF based on appropriate weighting on risk profile.
• Monitoring and reporting of Period Cost Variance in line with workload budget/forecast prepared by Project Management Office.

Budgeting and Forecasting

• Review and validation of financial parameters of financial plans and ensure their regular update in line with Group Instructions.
• Prepare the gathering of budget inputs and validate that they are consistent with financial parameters.
• Compile annual budget plan for Southern Africa entities, including aligned budget guidelines and plans to set targets and strategic objectives for review with Head of Finance and Country Director.
• Monitoring and challenging of assumptions informing quarterly forecast updates.

Compliance and statutory

• Review of contract assets and contract liabilities accounts (Bank Statement Reconciliations) with the Project Controller.

Managing Bid

• Check the classification criteria of the proposal according to the typology B0, B1, B2 (including “critical bid”) based on the criteria defined in the MRBOA instructions.
• Provide support for the calculation of Bid, Demo and Research and Development budget and comparison with yearly budget allocation to bids and proposals.
• Monitoring and control of the gross margin on order intake (gate 1 target) compared to budgetary commitments.
• Update financial memo for review at all Gates and validate financial clauses in the proposal.
• Validate Price and Cash Sheet.
• During contract’s coming into force, implement financing, guarantees and insurance and have documentary credit line opened.

Technical & Professional Skills
Qualifications & Experience

• Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/CA) with strong commercial and technical accounting experience, preferably with exposure to contractual law and tax.
• Minimum of 10 Years of experience, including: Project accounting, Insurance, Costing, Tax, Foreign exchange and IFRS
