    Business Operations Junior Project Manager (6-12 Month Contract)

    Role Purpose

    To implement, project manage and deliver on commercial initiatives / projects for the various CBU portfolios. Support, monitor and coordinate business priorities in terms of key deliverables, strategic projects and business operations

    Essence of Role – Key Accountabilities

    • Monitor progress against assigned strategic initiatives and deliverables
    • Prepare/review correspondence, newsletters, reports and presentations as required
    • Work with stakeholders across the business unit to ensure delivery of business priorities
    • Compilation of material/briefing packs for respective meetings.
    • Support stakeholder engagement both internally and externally
    • Arrange and coordinate events as may be required from time to time
    • Administrative support, including meeting minutes and tracking of actions

    Competencies

    • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
    • Analytical thinking
    • Proven experience working in an operational environment
    • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Visio and Word
    • Team player, ability to work in a fast-paced environment

    • Ability to plan and organise daily work
    • Ability to follow instructions and procedure

    Technical / Professional (Minimum requirements)
    Education:

    • Relevant 3 year degree/National diploma in Business or Engineering (inclusive of a Project Management component) or related advantageous
    • NQF level 5 project management qualification accredited by a recognized Project Management institute advantageous

    Job Knowledge:

    • Understanding of governance and decision making across the business
    • Project management methodologies and tools
    • Fundamentals understanding of Business processes
    • Understanding of the ICT Market and in particular, Telecommunications products, services, technologies, and business processes
    • A minimum of 2-3 years in telecommunications operational environment
