    Business Representative

    • The successful candidate will be responsible for growing the customer base, maintaining existing accounts, coordinating promotional activities, monitoring sales performance, and working closely with internal departments to ensure excellent service delivery and achievement of regional sales targets.

    Responsibilities:

    • Identify, prospect and open new customer accounts to grow the business.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while identifying opportunities to increase sales.
    • Monitor customer sales performance using SAP and implement action plans to achieve sales targets.
    • Provide regular sales and customer activity feedback to the Regional Manager.
    • Develop and implement marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns to increase market share.
    • Coordinate trade evenings, customer events and promotional activities.
    • Support route planning in collaboration with Warehouse and Logistics teams.
    • Assist customers with account openings and credit applications.
    • Work closely with the Debtors Department to ensure effective debt collection and maintain customer accounts within company credit terms.
    • Resolve customer queries promptly while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
    • Monitor customer purchasing trends and assist with stock forecasting.
    • Liaise with Warehouse personnel to ensure product availability and efficient stock management.
    • Assist customers in managing stock levels and product mix.
    • Deliver customer product training, pricing updates and technical presentations.
    • Maintain accurate customer information and CRM records.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and operational controls.
    • Monitor pricing structures, gross profit and operating costs while identifying opportunities to improve profitability.
    • Ensure company vehicles and equipment are maintained in accordance with company policy.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Diploma or Certificate (NQF Level 5) or equivalent qualification.
    • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Business Representative, Sales Representative or similar role within a manufacturing, automotive or related environment.
    • Computer literate with experience using MS Office.
    • Working knowledge of SAP, ERP systems, Salesforce or similar CRM software.
    • Valid driver's licence essential.
