    Capability Development and Transformation Specialist

    The Capability Development and Transformation Specialist provides managerial oversite for the implementation of the company production system and employee Learning and Development (L&D) functions for the site. This role is responsible for the transfer of these system tools and skills into the organization and assessing/evolving the proficiency of these skills across the plant site. Relative to L&D, this position will interact with operations and functional leaders and staff to identify, develop and execute plans for providing solid, consistent learning solutions which are in compliance with applicable regulations and ensure a competent workforce.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Directs, adapts and evolves the site's employee development and transformational change initiatives.
    • Align learning solution investments to drive business results through effective performance consultation by engaging clients in the context of their business strategy.
    • Use data driven decision making for clients regarding when to invest in a learning solution to close a performance gap. Use data regarding turnover, new hire readiness and performance indicators to engage site leadership in strategic conversations regarding overall site performance.
    • Offer alternative solutions to clients where environment factors are the root cause for performance gaps.
    • Redirect client requests for learning to uncover environment performance gaps. (e.g., complicated SOPs, time and capacity issues, lack of consequences to poor performance, etc.)
    • Proactive workforce capability planning through analysis of future performance and business needs.
    • Improve site responsiveness to Global compliance initiatives developing and implementing plans for the site to respond to Global changes to processes.

    Skills & Experience

    • A minimum of 8 years relevant operational pharmaceutical experience required.
    • People Management skills.
    • Excellent writing / documentation skills

    • Computer literacy: MS Office, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint
    • Ability to work in cross-functional teams
    • Self-driven, self-motivated and pro-active.
    • Biopharmaceutical and/or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
    • Lean Manufacturing
    • Change Management
    • Ability to develop, articulate and build support around a long-term vision and implement incremental milestones
    • Excellent facilitative and leadership skills
    • Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills

    Educational Requirements

    • B.S. degree in Business, Logistics, Engineering, Science or related discipline
