Capabilty Architect (Contract) 

The role of the Capability Architect is to enable business and IT leaders to make investment decisions that balance and prioritise current operational demands, disruptions, and opportunities with the longer-term strategic vision of the organisation. The capability architect provides technical guidance and road maps.

The scope of this specific role is to validate the current content services landscape, assess the current group wide content services requirements and to identify the risk of not managing content effectively.

Responsibilities

• Document and develop in-depth knowledge of the company’s existing architecture/infrastructure, and technology portfolio.
• Works with business leaders to understand business requirements and help them understand how technology tradeoffs influence strategy.
• Provide architectural consulting expertise, direction, and assistance - defines, explains, and advocates technology strategy.
• Reviews and/or analyses and develops architectural requirements as needed for the organisation.
• Develops and communicates architectural policies, standards and guidelines.
• Conduct research on software and systems products to justify recommendations.
• Advises on options, risks, costs versus benefits, system impacts, and technology priorities.

Skills:

• Modern Content Services Platforms. Hybrid Cloud Architectures (incl. AWS/Azure). Containerisation and Modern Application Development.

Qualifications:

• Tertiary, relevant to the area of specialisation.

Certifications:

• Relevant AWS and/or Azure certifications preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
• Minimum 5 years of ECM solution architecture experience.
• Track record delivering high quality products on time while working in teams.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems architectures.
