Capital & Reserving Actuary at Guardrisk

Key Responsibilities

• Calculation of SAM regulatory capital requirements for cells, promoter and license
• Calculation of Technical Provisions (IFRS and SAM), including IBNR reserving (ResQ experience useful)
• Preparation of selected calculations and reports for regulatory, financial and management reporting
• Involvement with IFRS17 implementation project
• Development of existing processes, tools and infrastructure.
• Input into actuarial components of the ORSA and Risk Appetite and other Risk reporting
• Interaction with cell captive clients (across a wide range of risk classes including niche classes)
• Development of solutions and actuarial input for key business challenges and initiatives
• Provide actuarial support to our international businesses (Mauritius & Gibraltar)
• Provide support to relevant marketing teams driving new business and growth

Experience and Qualifications

• Our ideal candidate is a qualified actuary, with 3-5+ years’ experience (Non-Life experience preferable)
• Good knowledge of SAM including all aspects of the Standard Formula and ORSA
• Good reserving experience
• Experience in programming preferable (SQL, VBA, R)
