Chemical Plant Controller (CPC)/ Senior Chemical Plant Operator (Snr CPO) x2
A Process Artisan operates process equipment, systems and processes for a specific plant / unit within the Sasol environment to achieve production requirements in a safe manner.
Key Accountabilities
Conduct basic first line fault finding
Carry out all tasks as allocated by Foreman
Carry out plant inspections and take logs
Knowledge of Work Management system
Knowledge of permit to work system
Report all at risk behaviors and unsafe conditions to the Foreman and / or SHE rep
Adhere to all safety regulations and approved work standards
Prepared to be called out when on standby, depending on plant requirements.
Provides adequate feedback to supervisor on work progress
Participates in risk assessments according to legislation and company requirements to improve safety
Maintains good housekeeping and adheres to waste disposal procedures
Work Independently
Understand and know the business, drives and KPIs
Apply and maintain safety in a working environment
Conducts IMS inspections to maintain and improve plant sustainability
Work effectively in a team
Play an appropriate main role during emergency situations to get the plant back online
Give and receive feedback to other disciplines (partners on daily issues
Gives input at toolbox talks to improve plant safety.
Formal Education
Matric or N3 with Pure maths, English and Physical Science
NQF 4 Chemical Operations
Working Experience
4+ relevantv years of experience
Experience in plant operations with Panel operation .
