    Chemistry Analyst

    In this role you will be responsible for carrying out the testing of samples according to procedure in excellent quality and a timely manner. Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained, methods are verified for the scope of usage, executed and documented as per quality system and accreditation requirements. Extends skills and competencies according to sections needs and development plan.

    A day in the life of a Chemistry Analyst: 

    Quality System:

    • Define and update the specific quality procedures, instructions and tools which are directly related to their analyses and tests                                                 
    • Executes analytical testing and validates results according to competency matrix. Take part in method implementation (validation, verification, matrix extension) and can lead implementation projects. Monitors analytical methods and maintains Q-Stat (A2M). Actively supports operations meeting customer expectations regarding delivery timely results (including alerts).               
    • Performs all the analyses under the requirements of the quality system based on ISO 17025 and NQMS. Safety rules as outlined in NQAC SHE Manual. It is involved in internal and external audits as needed.                                                        
    • Conducts ICPs including calibration and assists in continuously improving equipment ICPs and PMs and ensures that they meet the needs by monitoring their performance.  Assists technical deputy and section head in Site preparation and commissioning of new equipment according to technical specifications and requirements (change managements). Monitors and maintains necessary inventory for chemicals and materials.                                             
    • Actively involved in activities of safety, GA, 5S, QM, which means being representative of a section in such activities. Take part in operational reviews (DOR 1) and other GA Elements such as root cause analysis, standard routine etc. to continuously improve the quality system and the operational output (e.g. reporting and troubleshooting any deviation and abnormal results).                                               

    What will make you successful? 

    • Bachelor’s degree in faculty of Science, Chemistry, Microbiological and Food Technology
    •  2 years’ experience in Chemical laboratory
    • Good knowledge in quality management system ISO/IEC 17025
    • Intermediate in spoken and written English and computer skill
    • Experience in HPLC, GC, ICP-OES, ICP-MS, LC-MS will be advantageous.
