Clearing Operations Lead at Alistair Group

Alistair Group have been present in Mozambique since 2012 and are well positioned to grow the business and take it to new heights. We are opening a Clearing division in Mozambique and would like to offer Clearing services to our existing clients as well as to new clients in the region. 

We are looking for someone who is hungry for growth who can assist us to set up this business from scratch.

Reports to - Group Head of Clearing

Responsibilities and Duties

• To set up clearance operations in Mozambique
• To promote and grow the clearance business
• Develop & maintain port, border and airport rate database
• Provide structure and advise on needed personnel in setting up clearing operations
• Winning profitable new clearance work for Alistair Group
• Visiting clients at project sites throughout Mozambique
• Hire, train and manage a small clearing team

Qualifications and Skills

• Relevant tertiary education
• At least 5 years relevant work experience handling clearing operations in Mozambique essential
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of the legalities surrounding clearing processes in Mozambique - essential
• English and Portuguese essential

Working hours

• Monday to Friday plus alternate Saturdays
