    Clinic Research Assistant (Somkhele)

    Overview of Duties

    • Introduce oneself to each DoH clinic facility, mobile unit and give brief overview of the study where applicable.
    • Identify the individuals within the prepopulated list on REDCap who have been selected for the multilevel HIV prevention programme.
    • Register Multi level HIV Prevention programme participant in the mobile unit and or Fixed clinics.
    • Track participants for follow -ups and secure appointment as instructed by Supervisor and Study Coordinator.
    • Data collection on RedCap electronic platform.
    • Perform first line data quality control.
    • Adhere to standard operating procedures and protocol.
    • Ensure outputs are of high-quality standards.
    • Participate in regular and ad hoc training and meetings for data collection.
    • Educate research participants on AHRI research activities.
    • Report to line manager new developments to ensure improvement between AHRI, community, and Department of Health.

    Requirements

    Minimum Qualifications

    • National Senior certificate (Grade 12).
    • 10-Day HIV Counselling Certificate from an accredited training provider.
    • Valid driver’s license with a minimum of 2-years driving experience.
    • Computer Literacy (MS Office – Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
    • Fluency in IsiZulu and English (written and oral)

    Minimum Experience

    • At least 2 years’ experience in research or surveillance data collection.
    • Familiarity with data collection and capturing in a research environment.
