Code 10 Driver : Fogging- Farm Services - Grain Field Chickens, Reitz at VKB Group

JOB DECRIPTION

• To drive to various farms on a daily basis and perform dry-cleaning duties in various chicken houses according to standard operating procedures.
• Will be on the road 80% – 90% of the time and expected to travel alone and perform the dry-cleaning of the chicken houses, independently.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 equivalent.
• Code 10 licence with PDP.
• Experience in dry-cleaning of chicken houses required.
• Understanding of the lay-out of chicken houses is required.
• Some form of mechanical ability is required.
• Will engage with GFC Contract Growers on the farms, therefore the Ability communicate in Afrikaans is essential.
• Good client interaction skills with both internal/ external customers.
• A willingness to work overtime, incl. Saturdays & Sundays.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Travel to various farms on a daily basis to perform dry-cleaning duties of the chicken houses.
• Required to follow laid-down Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) when performing the dry-cleaning from start to finish.
• Dry-cleaning will be performed after the catching of all the chickens in the houses.
• Completion of the required documentation including the pre-dry-cleaning checklist, to ensure the machine to be used is ready as per SOP.
• Responsible for securing the chicken house after the dry-cleaning to restrict unauthorized access.
• Ensure the machine is filled up with diesel at the end of shift, in preparation for the next day.
• May be required to perform basic mechanical repairs where necessary.
• Any other duties as may be required by management.
