Commercial Analyst (1 Year Fixed Term Contract) at Roche

Key Responsibilities will include:
Deal Structuring

• To develop structured financial proposals by understanding the quote requirements, sourcing the relevant input information and constructing the deal financial proposals
• To model different financial proposals by building different scenarios, testing sensitivities and impacts and making recommendations on proposals
• To set the profitability targets by reviewing historical data, analyzing the trends, providing input on targets to be set and submitting for approval annually

Profitability Monitoring

• To monitor client profitability by reviewing actual performance against budgeted profitability, analyzing variances, identifying anomalies and providing feedback monthly and as required

Instrument Lifecycle Monitoring

• To advise on the purchase of instruments by validating the contract in line with the proposal and provide the instruction to purchase instruments as required

Deal Monitoring

• To monitor deal key indicators by analyzing performance per indicator, identifying variances, identifying causes of anomalies and reporting on progress quarterly
• To invoice cost per reportable clients by receiving and reviewing stock utilization, reconciling reported usage with instrument usage, identifying anomalies, resolving utilization anomalies, validating contracted pricing levels and generating invoices monthly

Reporting

• To analyse free of charge goods by tracking distribution, analyse trends and patterns, making recommendations and providing feedback monthly and as required
• To develop reports by extracting and analyzing information, identifying trends and patterns and providing feedback as required

You, as an ideal candidate, will have the following skills, experience and education:

• Qualification: Bachelors in business administration/accounting; finance or NQF 7 in finance, accounting sciences, cost accounting or similar is required
• Experience: 2 - 3 year’s experience in finance, costing or similar is required
