    Commodity Trader

    The Role

    Alistair Group has grown into a fully integrated logistics company. Consequently, we have started selling some low value, high volume commodities to our clients on a DAP basis. The goal of this role is to expand the initial order book into a fully operational business line for the wider Group

    • To engage with end clients in order to successfully and profitably sell commodities into the mining space
    • To engage with suppliers of bulk products in order to buy the best products at the best price
    • To engage with stakeholders (ports, internal transport team, etc) in order to create differentiated and value added sales for our clients
    • Accountable for the P&L of the trading division

    Responsible for solidifying the current nascent trades and creating a strong pipeline of opportunities and sales going forward

    • Mandarin speaking
    • BA in a relevant subject
    • 5+ years of relevant trading experience
    • Experience working with mining clients in Africa
    • Established network of quality suppliers of bulk chemicals
