Communications Director at Democratic Alliance

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Devising and executing the Party’s communications strategy with the goal of maximising positive voter impact by:
• proactively identifying issues that the Party should take up or react to, and driving these issues with the team and with Party structures
• proactively leading Party structures in terms of communication best practice
• ensuring that the Party builds and maintains strong relations with stakeholders in the media landscap

Requirements

Minimum requirements:

• Communications related tertiary qualification
• 5 years’ experience in the field of communications
• 5 years’ experience in a staff management role
• Computer literacy, particularly MS Office Suite
• Experience working in a political environment (advantageous)
• Experience in local, provincial, or national government (advantageous)
• Valid driver’s license with access a vehicle for daily use
