Communications Intern

This is a twelve (12) month training programme to become a Communications Professional:

What are the responsibilities for the role? (What does the Communications programme involve?)

• Create and produce internal communication for the organization.
• Prepare presentations and reports
• Provide administrative support to programs and internal teams
• Support with event activities
• Book and manage congresses
• Organizing facilities and details such as decor, catering, entertainment, transportation, location, invitee list, special guests, equipment, promotional material etc.
• Support CSR activities
• Ensure compliance with company policies, legal, health and safety obligations
• Conduct pre- and post – event evaluations and report on outcomes
• Processing of PRs
• Maintaining cost reporting
• Ad hoc tasks within the team

Through exposure and training on:

• Events management
• Internal communication

Including development and training on:

• Interpersonal & communication skills
• Organizational & management skills

Who do I need to qualify?

• Completed or doing final year in Marketing, Events or Communications.
• High performer
• Independent thinker with a creative flair
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Excellent organizational abilities to handle multiple tasks at once
• Strong personality
• Physical fit to carry boxes when required
• Experience on Microsoft Teams and One Note is advantageous
• Own transport is also advantageous
