Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will need to research a wide variety of laws, including, compliance and trade regulations and then develop and implement related compliance policies. This will involve providing high quality written legal guidance (in English) and independent counseling of business teams across all levels.
The person in this role will also be responsible for:

• Monitoring product regulatory developments
• Partnering with regulators and responding to their inquiries
• Engaging with partners and helping them improve compliance
• Flexible work schedule to accommodate international time zones.

A day in the life
As a Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and implementing product regulatory compliance controls. It's a high judgment position that requires nimbleness and insistence upon very high standards. You will engage with several internal and external stakeholders to drive initiatives to completion.
The ability to effectively communicate is essential, both verbally and in writing. The role will require that you be self-motivated to learn the operations and will involve both independent and team work in a fast-paced environment that is constantly changing.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Either 5+ years of prior work experience in a related area OR 2+ years of prior work experience and an L.L.B. or another equivalent international law degree
• Undergraduate university law degree
• Experience conducting legal research and preparing related written guidance
• Ability to review sensitive content and make appropriate policy recommendations
• Ability to work autonomously and effectively identify and innovate optimal solutions to a broad range of complex issues
• Great organizational and research skills with exceptional follow-through and attention to detail

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior experience with project management
• Prior experience in regulatory compliance
