    Consultant

    Overview
    This position will primarily focus on data gathering, analysis, modeling, research, and knowledge capture.

    Responsibilities

    • Storing, gathering, and analyzing data by means of MS Excel and MS Access.
    • Data modeling using Fortna’s proprietary tools and package tools for financial and operational modeling.
    • Supporting delivery of solutions including business process redesign, distribution center (DC) design, organizational design, etc.
    • Researching as requested.
    1. Designing and leading focus groups.
    2. Writing and delivering high quality documentation and analysis.
    3. Developing specific technical expertise, e.g., Network Modeling, DC Design, Operations Implementation, etc.
    4. Developing and supporting internal business systems and processes.
    5. Writing and contributing to white papers.
    6. Demonstrating leadership qualities.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree with evidence of strong performance in engineering, logistics, or business
    • Minimum 2 years of cumulative experience in consulting and/or internal consulting
    • Experience in industrial engineering within complex supply chains
    • Experience in DC design, specifically layout and operations
    • Experience in business case development
    • Ability to employ persuasion skills with discretion and consideration
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Strong problem solving and management capabilities
    • Ability to work effectively on a team and support high levels of performance
    • Ability to implement structured problem-solving techniques
    • High level comprehension of financial analysis
    • Ability to utilize good facilitation skills
    • Ability to develop research and knowledge management skills
    • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Desire to continually add value to and ensure accuracy and quality in all work performed
    • Ability to travel nationally and internationally

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • CPIM or CIRM certification from Association for Operations Management (APICS)
