    Continuous Improvement Manager

    SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

    Responsible for closely overseeing the manufacturing process and assisting with SQRC compliance projects, ensuring productivity and yielding projects by initiating continuous improvement strategies to achieve world class manufacturing standards. Influencing, challenging and changing the cultural, operational and management systems. The role is a key interface between all operational and maintenance teams to identify and eliminate process issues by developing procedures, training and operation and maintenance strategies.

    SCOPE / DIMENSIONS OF ROLE

    • Monitoring the production process reduces the risk of substandard quality, waste time and resources.
    • Coaches and facilitates continuous improvement techniques and tools with the operations and maintenance teams to become self-sufficient.
    • Selecting the most appropriate tools as required for business improvements and rolling these out across the business unit, eg Value Stream Mapping, 5S, TPM, Kanban, Kaizen, Measurement Systems Analysis, and FMEA.
    • Measurement and reporting on initiatives implemented - Squeeze and XTrim
    • Ensure and support SQRC compliance for the entire manufacturing processes through Risk Mitigation Plans and Competency Development of people at all levels within manufacturing organization
    • Develop productivity pipeline i.e. XTRIM and Fuel.
    • Lead and manage the Competency Development Plans to bridge the knowledge gap of people within manufacturing organization.
    • Lead and manage the Risk Assessment and to be able to provide mitigation plans in the form of Work Instructions, SOPs etc.
    • Lead and manage the Production OE team, manage OE programs such as 5S, and support continuous improvement projects, through kaizens, workshops, etc. Identify process improvement opportunities linked to business goals results (customer satisfaction, quality, reliability, productivity, and safety). Demonstrate results through performance measurement and analysis.
    • Oversee SQRC compliance internally to ensure compliance under DRAP regulations, specifically related to Quality Risk Management and EHS
    • Ingrain strong safety culture within the team through use of proactive ergonomic programs and safety mindset, lead by example.
    • R&D, Pack Dev for saving projects
    • Technical Managers, CI Manager, BU Managers for X-trim projects
    • Supply Services/Marketing for NPDs and ideas generation

    PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum 5-year experience in FMCG or Pharmaceutical manufacturing.
    • Reading and interpretation of technical material.
    • Educated to a bachelor's degree in an Engineering from a recognized university.
    • 3 to 5 years in a Managerial role and worked as a Change Agent
    • Ability to Analyse complex data
    • Fluent in English - Both verbal and writing
    • Excellent MS Office skills with specific regards to Excel and PowerPoint/ Access
