    Continuous Improvement Technician

    Job Overview

    The CI technician acts as a catalyst in driving loss elimination according to the site priorities.

    This means the CI technician will structurally optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of operations by:

    •  focusing on back to standard within FMOS through building problem solving capability on the shop floor through coaching
    • defining new standards in key FI initiatives by executing complex problem solving
    • The CI technician is also the owner of the CI CAB budget and process and as such able to execute small minor projects in production.

    What are we looking for?

    • Engineering degree (Industrial/ Chemical/ Mechanical)
    • Minimum of 3 - 5 years relevant industry experience preferred.
    • Advanced capability of TPM, Lean Six Sigma and or World Class Manufacturing Principles(In particular- FI, FMOS and AM and coaching and training)
    • Scoping and completing A3 projects
    • General Organizational and business knowledge (organizational sciences)
    • Ability to generate technical reports
    • Presentation skills & stakeholder management
    • Time management
    • Project Management Capabilities
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within multiple teams, in a fast-paced environment is essential.

    What will be your key responsibilities?

    • Manage the continuous improvement (CI) process and budget for CI investments through prioritization of activities
    • Identify and support FI activities that will create value and based on that lead FI projects and Six Sigma DMAIC projects from identification through control phase to contribute towards 4% VLS improvement yoy
    • Analysis of data and planning of the key improvements for the critical measures such as specifically TRS and NQC (to eliminate chronic issues) through Every Day Problem Solving (EDPS) and support of Breakdown Elimination (BDE)
    • Stabilize the production processes (eliminating the reoccurrence of the sporadic issues) through defining trigger levels for escalation in FMOS and support the AWT through loss analysis coaching
    • Lead and mentor others in the practical use of the MSE & Six Sigma philosophy. Active member of the FI Pillar team and leads Loss Analysis and Problem-Solving essential elements. Leads site loss meeting.
    • Manage the CI CAB budget and process
    • Execute small minor CAB projects as part of the CI initiatives and Oversees/supervises contractor led activities based on CI project execution
