    Contract Specialist

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (Essential/Minimum)
    • Certificate in First Line Management (Essential/Minimum)
    • 3-5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, including procurement of various transport modes, clearing and forwarding, and contract management
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with contract management systems
    • Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning and/or Cloud-based procurement solutions (e.g., SAP MM, Coupa)
    • Psychometric Assessment (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)
    • Certificate of Fitness (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)
    • Strong negotiation and contract administration skills
    • Experience in managing contracts with an emphasis on compliance, risk mitigation, and stakeholder relationship management
    • Ability to analyze contract terms and provide recommendations for improvement and cost-effectiveness

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Manage end-to-end contract lifecycle processes, ensuring adherence to company policies and legal requirements.
    • Negotiate and administer contracts, focusing on cost-effectiveness, stakeholder satisfaction, and risk mitigation.
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance supply chain content and improve contract management processes.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards, providing guidance and support to business partners.
    • Develop and implement strategies to meet Social and Labour Plans, Mining Charter, and BBBEE objectives.
    • Conduct supplier performance evaluations and maintain ongoing relationships to ensure continuous improvement and innovation.
    • Prepare tender documentation, engage in the adjudication process, and manage contract modifications and close-outs.
    • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of contractual agreements and report on compliance and governance issues.
    • Support financial management by adhering to budget requirements and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
    • Facilitate stakeholder engagement, database integrity, and the development of Service Level Agreements with suppliers.
