Cost and Inventory Accountant

An exciting position for those CIMA individuals! This role is with an international FMCG company that I would personally love to be affiliated with for many reasons. For those focused on their careers, the exposure and growth this role brings is vast! Critically, a minimum 1-2 years of detailed Costing exposure is seen as a “need to have”. Additionally, my client is looking to identify a high energy, determined and ambitious individual that is eager to get stuck in. Ideally positioned for someone making the 2nd or 3rd move in their accounting career and looking to make a positive impact within a global entity.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver all reporting accurately and on time in accordance with deadlines provided
• Reconcile the inventory across systems and make sure controls are in place to monitor and identify issues early to flag to management
• Maintain the standard costing system accurately and understand key variances to report on clearly and concisely to management
• Optimise the DIO and Gross Margin targets by making sure monthly KPIs are met

Requirements:

• BComm Accounting degree or similar
• Completed or studying towards a CIMA qualification
• 2-4 years' commercial experience
