    Costing & Warranty Clerk- Maternity Contract Volvo Somerset West (4 - 6 Months)

    Job Advert Summary    

    • We are looking for a highly organised and detail-driven Costing & Warranty Clerk to join our Volvo dealership on a maternity cover contract. The ideal candidate will have strong costing and warranty administration experience within the automotive industry, with Service Advisor experience highly advantageous. This role is key to the smooth functioning of our service department, ensuring accurate costing, compliant warranty processing, and professional support to our customers and internal teams.
    • Previous experience as a Costing Clerk or Warranty Administrator in a dealership environment.
    • Experience with Volvo or other premium brands is an advantage.
    • Service Advisor experience highly preferred.
    • Strong administrative, numerical, and communication skills.
    • High attention to detail, professionalism, and accuracy.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent
    • Proven experience in automotive costing administration, or related roles.
    • Strong mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication skills to interact with various departments, suppliers, and customers.
    • Previous knowledge of automotive industry warranty policies and procedures will be advantageous.
    • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
    • Strong organizational skills and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficient in computer applications - (EVOLVE software system preferred)  
    • Proficient in English & Afrikaans
    • Clear criminal record

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Capture new & used vehicles in stock on Evolve.
    • Check repair costs versus reconditioning cost on trade-in evaluation.
    • Open supplier orders, retrieve supplier invoices, proccess invoices.
    • Costing and claiming of job cards as per manufacturers systems requirements and standards.
    • Utilising manufacturers systems to facilitate costing and claims.
    • Review all claims and administer accordingly.
    • Ensure customer satisfaction and ensure compliance to all warranty specifications.
    • Monitor defective products and withdraw specific batch of products if required.
