BSc Agric or similar qualification with more than 5 years relevant experience
Both BASOS and AVCASA course will be an asset
Valid driver’s license
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
In depth knowledge regarding the sales of Agricultural Chemicals and Fertilizer products.
Good knowledge of table and wine grapes, stone fruits, citrus and small grains will count in the candidate’s favour.
Provide technical services and knowledge to producers
Computer literacy with basic skills in MS Office software programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Facilitation, report writing, and presentation skills will count in the applicant’s favour
The incumbent must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Bilingual in Afrikaans and English.
The ideal would be that the person is able to prove his creditworthiness among producers and have a proven record in relation to integrity, results and service.
A positive attitude in the interaction with people at all levels must be able to be portrayed. Absolute confidentiality, where and when in question, is required.
Due to the nature of the position, the incumbent will be expected to work on his own initiative and ensure an acceptable level of productivity and time management.
