Data Analyst at BankservAfrica

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• BankservAfrica form part of the South African National Payments System and are a trusted partner of the financial industry, including banking institutions, and therefore require that employees adhere to unwavering standards of honesty and transparency in performing their duties.

PURPOSE

• The main purpose of this role is to develop and analyse data warehousing in BankservAfrica, including data feeds, data quality, ETL and Mart development and to support the analytics strategy and projects via the provision, organisation and pre-processing of data. A key deliverable would include the analysis of data to facilitate the inclusion of new data sources into the Data Warehouse.

You will engage with the following stakeholders:

• Executives
• Change Management
• Change Advisory Board
• Infrastructure
• Service Desk
• Development Teams
• Delivery
• Service /Business Owners

Your key responsibilities include:

• Identify and scope opportunities for improvement / innovation
• Develop risk analysis framework
• Deliver client or company specific projects in line with company standards and in agreement with line manager
• Statistics
• Stats and Reporting

QUALIFICATIONS

• Data Related Qualification

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in related field
• Experience in general office administrative duties
• Banking/ Payment experience advantageous preference card payments
• Data Base and Oracle experience advantageous
• Required computer literacy levels

SKILLS

• Advanced Excel
• Strong SQL skills
