Data Analyst at FlySafair

Description

• Gather data from various internal and external sources;
• Perform data cleaning to ensure accuracy and consistency;
• Perform regular audits and validations
• Create charts, graphs and other visual representations of data to help stakeholders understand complex information;
• Generate information and insights from data sets;
• Document data analysis processes, methodologies and findings in a clear and organised manner;
• Create visualisations in Qlik to present data insights in an understandable and actionable manner;
• Create queries on large datasets  for manipulation;
• Provide maintenance of the BI environment;
• Locate and define BI process improvement opportunities;
• Support initiatives for data integrity and normalisation;
• Responsible for documenting solutions;
• Provide training and support to stakeholder on how to interpret and utilise data reports and dashboards;
• Engage with cross-functional teams to understand their data requirements;
• Gather input from stakeholders to ensure the data solutions provided meet their needs;
• Assist stakeholders in understanding the implications of data insights for their specific areas of responsibility;
• Translate data analysis into actionable business insights that stakeholders can easily understand and act upon.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of MS SQL Database (T-SQL);
• An understanding of the ELT Framework, which includes an understanding of data extraction and transformation;
• knowledge of data cleaning, validation, and transformation techniques;
• Qlik modeling;
• Grade 12 or Equivalent (Essential);
• BCom Information Technology (Essential);
• Relevant BI Certification (Advantageous);
• Minimum of 3 years’ Data Analytics experience;
• Qlikview/Qliksense experience (Essential);
• Nprinting experience (Advantageous);
• Aviation experience (Advantageous).
