• We are looking for a Data Analyst to analyze large amounts of raw information to find patterns that will help improve our company. We will rely on you to build data products to extract valuable business insights.
• In this role, you should be highly analytical with a knack for analysis, math and statistics. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential for interpreting data. We also want to see an interest for machine-learning and web development.

Your goal will be to help our company analyze trends to make better decisions.

Data Analyst responsibilities include:

• Undertaking data collection, data pre-processing, data engineering, feature selection and exploratory data analysis
• Interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques
• Presenting information using data visualization techniques

Part of this role requires the ability to question and ‘disrupt’ the organisation. This may require moving around the different aspects of the company i.e. branches, departments, applying your knowledge gained in the solutions team to innovate, improve and sustain Aramex and its clients.

Key Duties:

Data

• Identify valuable data sources and automate data collection processes.
• Ensure the quality and accuracy of that data.
• Managing master data, including creation, updates, and deletion.
• Managing users and user roles.
• Commissioning and decommissioning of data sets.
• Managing and designing the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata.
• Supporting the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements.
• Supporting initiatives for data integrity and normalization.
• Assessing tests and implementing new or upgraded software and assisting with strategic decisions on new systems.
• Providing technical expertise in data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing.

Reporting

• Update datasets for models.
• Generating reports from single or multiple initiatives.
• Troubleshooting the reporting database environment and reports.
• Training end-users on new reports and dashboards.
• Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns (Exploratory data analysis)
• Present information using data visualization techniques.
• Create Strategic, Tactical, Operational and data analysis dashboards using PowerBi or Tableau.

Analytics

• Undertake pre-processing of structured and unstructured data
• Evaluate model performance with data scientist.
• Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges.
• Implement and drive new automation projects within the business.
• Identify areas of improvement within the business and by involving the necessary personnel with the relevant skills and Stakeholders, proposing the required solutions.
• To provide instruction and guidance to other personnel within the Solutions team and company, and ultimately facilitating the achievement of goals.
• Conduct and lead feasibility studies on various internal and external ventures.
• Presentation of key findings to clients and the business.
• Ensure the solutions team remains informed of the technologies and capabilities available in the market.
• Keep EXCO informed of trends within the industry and business.
• Offer guidance and support to the BIE team.

Deployment

• Deploy predictive models and machine-learning algorithms on web-based applications.
• Use stored variables and their values from object serialisation in web-based applications.
• Ensure coding reproduce ability (environment dependencies and versions)
• Deploy data automation initiatives on web-based applications.
• Creation of web-based applications.

Minimum Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Data Analyst
• Experience in data mining
• Understanding of web-based development
• Knowledge of R or Python,
• familiarity with Scala, Java or C++ is an asset
• Experience with SQL is essential
• Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau and Power Bi)
• Analytical mind and business acumen
• Strong math skills (e.g. statistics, algebra)
• Problem-solving aptitude
• Excellent communication and presentation skills (Visual story telling)
• BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field / graduate degree in Data Analytics or other quantitative field is preferred
• Valid Code 08 driver’s license and own reliable transport
