As a Data Scientist, you will drive the concept of data insights and advanced analytics
You will support the IT Business Services manager in setting up an advanced analytics strategy and proactively identify areas of business and process improvements by analyzing RAF (Region Africa) Linde’s core transactional data and sell ideas to business and senior management
Design, implementation and execution of (advanced) analytics projects, responsible for data modelling and data engineering as well as feature engineering to enable data insights
You will be responsible for implementation and creation of dashboards, data insights and applying advanced algorithms to support business requirements
You will be the expert in technical development, responsible for running and implementing backend procedures (e.g. SQL scripts as well as R scrips) to answer and support business questions – implementation of business requirements within global analytics system
Furthermore, you proactively and independently create training materials and execution of trainings in the area data analytics (e.g PowerBI) will form part of your activities, apply change management workshops and programs to support business in dealing with new systems, processes and tools
What makes you great
You possess a degree in appropriate functional areas, professional qualification in STEM subject (science technology, engineering or mathematics) could be achieved by you (expert/ equivalent professional experience in internal Linde Business and IT roles will be considered in lieu of professional qualification)
You have acquired a minimum 3-5 years of experience in the fields of analytical insights and data science
Ability to turn concepts and ideas into computational systems
