PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

• Ensure efficient and cost-effective distribution of product in accordance with company requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage subordinates

• Set KPA(s) of team members and manage performance
• Maintain discipline of team (Execute company disciplinary procedures)
• Ensure driver training is done
• Manage training and development of subordinates
• Manage driver damage and accidents

Ensure sound fleet and cost control

• Plan and manage fleet services and repairs
• Manage and control departmental own fixed cost in terms of repair cost
• Manage site and area responsibility in terms of safety
• Ensure vehicle driver inspections are conducted
• Ensure vehicle maintenance are conducted and maintained

Perform administrative duties

• Ensure daily fleet inspection register is updated
• Maintain and manage daily fleet KPI
• Ensure driver details are updated on R2MS
• Maintain temperature report
• Manage fuel consumption on fleet
• Ensure fleet and driver details are maintained on the Telematic System
• Ensure tracking units are active and functional on fleet

Manage customer/supplier relations

• Conduct workshop visits and submit reports
• Manage and control route adherence and TAT
• Attend to customer/supplier/internal queries and complaints
• Ensure sound relationship is maintained between branches and customers

REQUIREMENTS:

• Relevant Diploma/Degree
• Relevant experience in applying job related concepts, techniques and processes at the required level
• Experience in working with senior management
• Business English: Fluent
• Code 08 Driver(s) license
• Computer literacy (Intermediate)
• People management experience
• Travel off-site/overnight stay
• Work shifts/weekends/public holidays
