Demand Planner at Roche

The Position

Roche Diabetes Care in Midrand is seeking a Demand Planner to work with sales, marketing and operations to improve forecasting accuracy through a robust planning cycle. You as the successful candidate will be expected to develop sound supply chain contingencies to enable rapid reaction to forecast deficiencies while still balancing overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Demand Planning 

• Demand and Supply Plan review
• New launch and tender planning
• Inventory management
• Trouble shooting and issues management
• Working on Supply Chain network optimization initiatives

Customer Service

• Active tracking and follow up on order status
• Exception handling
• Provide analytical support to projects

Overall Supply Chain

• Provide analytical support to projects
• Ensures all stakeholders in the chain are well informed on projected supply risks
• Assist the supply chain manager in preparing forecast reports, supply assessment
• Contribute in identifying root cause of supply chain performance measure (OTIF) and identify improvement areas
• Contributes to business development by continuous proactive assessment of opportunities within supply chain to obtain a competitive advantage
• Escalate any major issues/concerns to the supply chain manager immediately

You, as an ideal candidate, will have the following skills, experience and education:

• Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in Supply and Demand planning and also Order Management. Experience from Pharma/Diabetes care/Diagnostics background is advantageous. Experience in statistical reporting and knowledge of operational impacts of forecasting. Project Management experience. Demonstrated ability to work with SAP or other ERP systems is needed. Fluency in English and good knowledge of MS Office especially Excel is required
