    Demand Planning Professional

    The Role:

    • The Demand Planning Professional plans and controls quantities for assigned logistic processes, inventories and stocks, to ensure a 100% availability of all input factors and to contribute to superior logistic process quality


    Your tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Complete regular forecasting and planning for several relevant indicators (e.g. turnover, production, inventories, changes in inventory, capital expenditure requirements, employee capacities, etc.).
    • Analyze, control and report on relevant KPI (e.g. productivity, profitability, capital tie-up, assets), detects and evaluates plan deviations, and derives recommendations for respective remedial measures.
    • Perform qualified cost-and-profitability analyses for specific business cases (i.e. product launches, relocations, review of vertical range of manufacturing, etc.) to prepare respective alternative decisions.
    • Develop supplier forecasts and determines logistical processes with suppliers.
    • Introduce and implement logistical requirements regarding material provision and delivery as well as material phase-in/out in the PLM process.
    • Plan and control assigned inventories and stocks (e.g. supply level, planning adjustments, etc.), analyzes inventory changes and develops measures for inventory reduction.
    • Analyze and control logistical processes (e.g. Cycle Time, First Pass Yield, On-time delivery, KPI of effectiveness, productivity, etc.), in order to detect process weaknesses and to start process improvements.
    • Maintain a network and cooperates with all involved stakeholder in the respective processes.
    • Demand planning for re-agents, instruments and consumables and spares.
    • Purchasing from vendors.
    • Advanced shipping notifications/confirmations.
    • Master data and pricing maintenance.
    • Inventory Back order management planning.
    • Clearing instructions with logistics companies.
    • Monitor shipments with forwarding company.
    • Business relevant reporting. Webcycles and intercompany controlling.


    Your Qualifications And Experience

    • Matric is a minimum requirement
    • Tertiary qualification in Logistics Management or similar.
    • SAP warehouse experience is preferred.
    • Experience on a warehouse management system is essential.
    • Must have advanced excel skills.
    • Must have experience with 3rd party logistics
    • Must have customs/import knowledge.
    • Invitro Lab Diagnostics Healthcare experience will be advantageous
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Power Suite (PowerBI, PowerQuery, PowerPivot) or equivalent

    What else do you need to know?

    • Must be a South African National, preferably from a designated diversity group

    Excellence, Quality and Compliance in the daily interactions, operations and reporting is not a negotiable requirement, but absolutely mandatory for this role.
