    Depot Pharmacist

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Under the supervision of the Depot Manager and / or Clinical Team leader, should fulfill job responsibilities as a Depot Pharmacist before the Regulatory Authorities of the Country ensuring the quality and integrity of all the processes related to stored material: reception, storage, shipment, return and/or destruction, according to Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) or any other required standards.

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Ensure compliance with all government legislative and local health  requirements.
    • Maintain and assure compliance with applicable ICH, GMP, GCP, GDP, local regulatory and legal requirements, and World Courier Standard Operating Procedures (or any other so required).
    • Comply with World Courier Standard Operating Procedures, which contain all specific instructions to develop the Depot daily activities, from the moment of reception of the products until the shipment/ delivery of the products to the sites and return process if required.
    • To manage the change of product status both physically and systematically following client instructions and within the scope of applicable Internal Guidelines.
    • Perform the quality check on a relabeling process in the absence of a Local Quality Representative and / or when it has been appointed for this function by the Quality Department.
    • Have deep knowledge of all the protocols stored at WC Depot in order to provide instructions to the Depot Staff.
    • Verify and organize all the documentation received, shipment arrival conditions, storage and all extra documentation related to Product received at the Depot.
    • Be in daily contact with WC Customers to provide them support concerning the protocols stored at WC Depot.
    • Have deep knowledge about WC Depot installations in addition to the different equipment located there.
    • Be aware and contribute to where necessary on possible problems arising from personnel management that may be against working schedule.
    • Assist the DM with work allocation and daily schedules including personnel management
    • May be required to be on call 24/7 to provide telephone assistance as well as to provide emergency response in case of any concern occurring at the Depot.
    •  Collaborate with  all other Company applicable departments in order to produce reports and ensuring that all the information is collated accurately and produced on time.
    • Perform any other duties the employee has been trained for.

    EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Required: Degree in Pharmacy (or Diploma Holder as a Pharmacist, according to local regulations) and Full command of English.

    Preferred: Experience in a management role and preferably in the Clinical Trial business

    REPORTS DIRECTLY TO:

    • Depot Manager a/o Clinical  Team Leader

    MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

    • Excellent interpersonal relationships.
    • Be able to take initiatives and solve problems
    • Self driven and can work autonomously
    • Sound computer skills
    • An understanding of Imports and Exports processes and statutory requirements.
    • Sound experience using the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Sound level of numeracy and demonstrated attention to detail
    • Sound written and verbal communication skills with a full command of English.
    • Problems solving skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to work flexibly within tight time schedules and in accordance with variable workload demands.
    • A calm and customer focused approach.
