Position Summary

An exciting opportunity exists for a Depot Pharmacist at World Courier an AmerisourceBergen company, based in the head office Kempton Park- Johannesburg, South Africa. The Depot Pharmacist will report to the Depot Manager and will be responsible to ensure quality and integrity of all processes related to drugs, devices, pharmaceutical samples and material supplies, CRF’s including: reception, storage, shipment, return and/or destruction, according to company SOP’s and other required standards. The successful candidate will work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between the hours of 08:00 and 16:30. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Complete all legal regulatory requirements
• Maintain and ensure compliance with ICH, GMP, GCP, GDP and FDA Good Clinical Practices, local regulatory affairs, legal requirements and WC SOP’s for the entire process
• Instruct depot staff on WC protocols
• Compile and verify all documentation related to products received at the depot
• Contact WC customers daily to provide them support concerning materials stored at the depot
• Have an in-depth knowledge on WC depot installations and equipment
• Lead and manage special projects linked to GxP requirements in the depot

Experience and Education Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

• BPharm degree
• 1-5 years experience in Pharmacy Management/Clinical Trials/QA and or Monitoring
• SAPC registration
• Warehouse and distribution pharmacist experience would be an advantage
• Excellent communication skills
• Good computer skills
• Great attention to detail
• Initiative and carry out responsibilities
