Despatch Foreman (OC) at Anglo American

Job Description

As a Despatch Team Leader, you will be responsible for providing operational systems support to staff and optimisation of equipment to achieve production targets. This role requires a high degree of competence on the system used in a highly automated environment.

Supporting the overall business management of the operation, you will provide technical support to the Load and Haul team to achieve plans and objectives. By assisting in monitoring the progress of Load and Haul team’s performance, you will plan and identify areas of critical importance to the Load and Haul operation and advise on plans to address these issues pro-actively.

As part of this role you will ensure that the Load & Haul operation remains technically effective, ensuing that subordinates are empowered to respond to operational needs that arise, and appropriate corrective action is taken in order to remedy system deficiencies.
You will also ensure that data integrity of the operational system, accurate and prompt reports are delivered and that job instructions are available to employees.
This role is in the Despatch Department and is at a C5 level reporting to the Despatch Engineer.

Qualifications
You will need the following;

• Grade 12 / Matric/ Equivalent
• Certified dispatcher – Modular Mining
• 3 Years Load and Haul experience
• At least 2 years’ experience working as a Despacth Controller (Acting)
• Valid driving license code 08
