DevOps Engineer 

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to help us build functional systems that improve customer experience. DevOps Engineer responsibilities include deploying product updates, identifying production issues and implementing integrations that meet customer needs. If you have a solid background in software engineering and are familiar with Ruby or Python, we’d like to meet you.

Key Skills and Responsibilities:

• Kubernetes is essential
• Implement integrations requested by customers
• Deploy updates and fixes
• Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience
• Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems
• Perform root cause analysis for production errors
• Investigate and resolve technical issues
• Develop scripts to automate visualization
• Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
• In depth Java knowledge including J2EE, Spring, CAMEL and associated technologies.
• Experience and Knowledge in CSS and HTML.
• Working knowledge of operating systems including Linux.
• In depth knowledge of SQL and industry standard databases.
• Understanding and working knowledge of J2EE containers and web servers.
• A thorough understanding of Software Development Life Cycle
• Experience in Scrum/Agile methodologies.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Telecommunications Software Support environment would be a definite advantage.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Strong written, verbal and collaboration skills

Please note: This will be a 1 year contract role based on a clients project- there may be a possibility of extenstion, but there is no guarentee.
