    Digital editor

    Website

    • Planning the content schedule around Woolworths themes and product focuses 
    • Daily uploading and repurposing of recipes, articles and advertorials from the magazine
    • Writing content according to SEO best practice
    • Monitoring stats
    • Managing monthly competitions (uploading, closing, cleaning the database, liaising with winners and clients)
    • Sales campaigns (uploading digitorials/native campaigns)
    • General maintenance; eg liaising with developers and ad serving, managing website user queries
    • Managing the digital budget

    General community management

    • Email: liaising with readers regarding website queries/issues, newsletter email address changes
    • Social media: monitoring and replying to private messages, comments and queries
    • Attending content planning meetings and sales presentations as required

    Social media

    • Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Instagram stories, YouTube (see TASTETube below)
    • Posting content daily (as per the platform strategy)
    • Writing copy (description, headline, excerpt) according to the platform strategy) 
    • Daily monitoring and responding (including after hours and weekends) 
    • Providing monthly channel numbers updates
    • Maintaining strict guidelines and standards in social media processes to preserve brand credibility and integrity
    • Following best practice on all TASTE channels according to our insights

    TASTETube

    • Contributing to content planning with the TASTETube team
    • Uploading and managing TASTETube content across all platforms (YouTube, website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, newsletter) 
    • Writing social media copy according to platform 
    • Embedding on relevant posts on the website 
    • Uploading and syncing subtitles

    Newsletter

    • Compiling content for the weekly TASTE newsletter according to the strategy and client’s needs
    • Building the newsletter according to the existing template
    • Managing paid campaigns with the sales team; eg banners

    Requirements

    • At least three years’ experience in digital content creation for a brand
    • Interest and experience in creating food content or working in the food industry directly or indirectly
    • Some tertiary-level study beneficial
    • Willingness to work after hours and overtime when required (can be done remotely)
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
    • Good people skills
    • Working knowledge of all social media platforms and backend analytics tools
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
    • Some knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint advantageous
    • Basic WordPress, HTML and Photoshop skills advantageous
