Digital Health and Informatics Lead at BAO Systems

The Digital Health and Informatics Lead, under direction from the PI, will be responsible for collaboration with NDoH to define digital strategies, initiatives, and projects to improve health information systems (HIS) optimization and interoperability, the utility and use of digital health solutions, and their impact across all levels of the health system. S/he will provide technical leadership in areas of: digital health planning, software optimization, and systems integration. S/he will oversee a technical team providing direct support and assistance to the South Africa NDoH/PDoH to improve, integrate, and scale an effective HIS that meets the needs of diverse stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities

• Design digital strategies that align/inform strategic decision frameworks for short and long-range planning and future investments
• Demonstrate the ROI of digital strategies using clear KPIs
• Collaborate with NDoH/PDoH stakeholders related to HIS structure, functionality, optimization, and how those components translate and impact the end-user experience

Required Skills
experience:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in related field required
• Master's Degree required or a combination of education and professional experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the job
• 10+ yrs. innovating business models with digital tools and platforms

Preferred Skills/experience

• 5+ yrs. collaboration with the South African NDoH or PDoH
• 5+ yrs. Supporting HIV/AIDS and PEPFAR programming
• Powerful communication and storytelling skills, successfully applying verbal and written communications to influence business leaders and team members
