Key responsibilities:

• Project managing books from manuscript to print
• Editing and proofreading
• Reviewing and assessing manuscripts for merit and commercial viability
• Helping to identify commercially viable book concepts
• Assisting the sales, publicity and marketing teams with information and material needed for their purposes
• Liaising with authors

Requirements/Experience:

• Applicable Tertiary Qualification
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in the same or similar position
• Strong English editorial and writing Shortlisted candidates may be required to write a test
• A love of reading and a passion for South African stories, with a focus on non-fiction
