    eLearning & Multimedia Specialist

    Purpose of the Job    

    • The eLearning & Multimedia Specialist is responsible for designing and developing engaging digital solutions utilising multiple platforms to ensure the delivery of creative learning and development experiences. Responsible for content development and the design of storyboards that adheres to excellent quality standards and business process needs.

    Job Objectives    
    Content Development and Quality Assurance

    • Design, develop, and implement high-quality, engaging learning experiences including eLearning, video and blended learning aligned to competency profiles.
    • Conceptualise, create, and assemble multimedia digital solutions in close collaboration with Curricula Manager and own team.
    • Ensure that all digital content developed and delivered meets prescribed deployment requirements and accepted industry standards.
    • Responsible for video production and post-production audio and video editing.

    Relationship Management

    • In cases where external partners are used, responsible for the brief, project management, quality assurance and delivery of a solution that meets business needs and Shoprite learning and development standards.
    • Provide specialist inputs to trainers or clients in solving technology issues, design questions, and challenges encountered in the delivery of online learning.
    • Actively engage with colleagues in creating the best business solution within contracted timelines.

    Ongoing optimisation

    • Conduct continuous research on e-learning platforms and multimedia tools to ensure relevance.
    • Provide support in evaluating the success of e-learning and multimedia initiatives, and make enhancements where required.
    • Identifies opportunities to enhance and improve systems and processes in support of current and development initiatives.

    Qualifications    

    • Bachelors Degree (NQF level 7) in Human Resources or a related field
    • Diploma (NQF level 6) in Human Resources or a related field

    Experience    

    • 3 - 5 years experience in Training
    • 3 - 5 years experience in Video and/or Audio Development and editing

    Knowledge and Skills    

    • Instructional Design
    • Curriculum Design
    • Adult Learning principles
    • Applications such as Axure, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, Invision and Articulate Storyline
    • Skilled in Graphic Designing
