As part of the Municipal Energy Resilience (MER) Program, Witzenberg Municipality invites unemployed graduates to apply for a temporary contract to for this program.
Requirements:
Appropriate B Degree or B. Tech Degree in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current) or Equivalent (NQF Level 7)
A valid Code B driver’s licence.
Computer Literacy in MS Office Applications.
Fluent in 2 of the 3 languages spoken in the Western Cape: Afrikaans, English, or IsiXhosa.
Duties:
Project Management for energy related projects (i.e SSEG’s, Renewable Energy, Procurement of alternative energy)
Electrical Network Planning and expansion in line with approved Electrical Infrastructure Masterplan
Grid & Network impact studies
Assist the Manager: Electricity Services in drafting technical specifications and tender evaluations
Assist the Manager: Electricity Services with daily, Weekly & Monthly operations of the department.
